Box Hill Institute Enhances Architectural Design Program with a New Orchard Heliodon by Nitter – Beta nit

Box Hill Institute - Lilydale Campus

We are pleased to announce that an Orchard Heliodon by Nitter – Beta nit has been recently installed at the Box Hill Institute in Australia, at the Lilydale campus (Victoria).
The device will be used within the Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) program (reference video).

The Heliodon will serve as a teaching and design support tool, allowing students to study solar incidence and shadow behavior on architectural models and buildings.
Thanks to this equipment, Box Hill Institute will provide its students with new opportunities to explore sustainability, environmental comfort, and the relationship between architecture and the natural context.

We look forward to sharing how students, lecturers, and researchers from this renowned Australian private institute will use the Heliodon in their educational and design activities.

The Lilydale installation is part of the ongoing international collaborations that bring Beta nit devices into academic and research environments dedicated to innovation and training in architecture and design.
