The Energy of Teaching: The Example of Arch. Alejandro Gómez Ríos

Professor Alejandro Gómez Ríos at work with the Orchard Heliodon

The effectiveness of teaching lies not only in the content but, above all, in the passion and commitment of those who teach.

It is with great pleasure that we share with you the enthusiasm and dedication that Architect Alejandro Gómez Ríos is demonstrating in his role as a professor, offering a concrete example of how personal commitment can transform the educational experience.

Arch. Gómez Ríos, professor of Environmental Conditioning at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Ricardo Palma University, holds a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Management and a PhD in Environment and Sustainable Development. He stands out for his ability to transmit not only technical skills but also a deep environmental awareness to his students.

In addition to his teaching activities, he is also the editor of the monthly newsletter Eureka, published by the Environmental Conditioning Laboratory of the Faculty, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and innovation in the field of bioenvironmental design.

Recently, he received the Beta nit laboratory kit for the study and design of natural lighting.
From the very beginning, he showed enthusiasm and initiative, actively involving his students who, inspired by his example, are proudly sharing their projects developed using our Heliodon on social media.

We are proud to see how the passion of a teacher can create a virtuous circle of curiosity, commitment, and creativity, while promoting an architectural design approach that is increasingly ecological and sustainable.

We hope that examples like that of Architect Gómez Ríos will inspire all those who believe in the importance of a dynamic, participatory, and future-oriented education.
